Felicia at Octagon was an amazing waitress and made our dinner very enjoyable. Carol at the concierge desk was very helpful from restaurant menus on property, bike trails, and shop info to planning our day trip to Savannah (parking, restaurants, and shops). She was also secretly working with my boyfriend (now fiance) to plan the proposal and the perfect evening.
I wish we were able to meet her while we were there. Staff- I apologize for leaving anyone off because everyone we spoke to was incredible and truly made our stay memorable! All the restaurants and food were exceptional too. She really freaked out over the dog biscuits so they must have been good. They left a bed, bowls, and homemade biscuits for her in the room. Miles and miles of trails to walk and explore. It’s also SUPER dog friendly! My dog enjoyed the trip as much as I did. I traveled solo and had the best time meeting other travelers. It’s not a stuffy atmosphere at all, but rather warm and welcoming and super friendly. You can lounge and relax or you can have lots of active adventures. Montage has truly perfected the vacation experience. The spa, massage and amenities were great too. They have a coffee station in the morning, cookies, tea and lemonade in the afternoon and s’mores in the evenings by the fire. The pools are heated to perfection (who knew winter swimming was fun?!) and there are multiple jacuzzis available all day. I even got to participate in star gazing one night and looked through a high-power telescope to see the craters on the moon. There are so many fun activities and places to explore. The resort buildings and grounds are beautiful and perfectly manicured. I’ve never experienced that level of service or luxury before, even at 5 star hotels. Kick back and relax at the spa and sip cocktails by the pool or hit the ground running with outdoor adventures from cycling and clay shooting to kayaking, golf and horseback riding.
